Terms of Service
1. Scope
These Terms govern the use of QuickGuide—the QuickGuide app (iOS app and web version)—and QuickGuide Studio by individuals to whom an organization, such as a hospital, has granted access (“you”).
The provider is QuickGuide GmbH, Parkallee 12, 20144 Hamburg, Germany (“QuickGuide,” “we,” “us”).
Your organization has entered into a separate agreement with us regarding QuickGuide. That agreement governs, in particular, remuneration, availability, and support; it does not limit your rights under these Terms.
The rules of your organization also apply, including, for example, internal policies governing the use of digital tools.
These Terms apply from the time you first sign in. We will refer you to them during the sign-in process.
If you download the iOS app from the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
2. Access
QuickGuide is available only to individuals authorized by their organization, either through an invitation sent to their email address or via the organization’s single sign-on system. Public self-registration is not available.
QuickGuide is intended for healthcare professionals and for persons undergoing education or training in this field. You must be at least 16 years old.
Your organization determines which content, teams, and features you can access. It may modify or terminate your access at any time, for example if your employment or other role ends.
Where your organization provides you with access, your use is free of charge. Any paid offerings that you purchase yourself are additionally subject to the terms stated for those offerings.
3. Account and Sign-In
Keep your access credentials confidential and do not allow anyone else to access QuickGuide through your account.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify your organization and us without undue delay at info@quickguide.health.
If you sign in through your organization’s single sign-on solution, such as Microsoft Entra ID, your organization’s rules apply to your account in that system.
Keep your profile details, such as your professional group and place of work, up to date.
4. Permitted Use
You may use QuickGuide for your professional activities, including education, training, and continuing professional development.
In particular, you must not:
Enter data that could identify patients (see Section 5);
Extract content automatically, for example by scraping, or download content in bulk;
Decompile or reverse engineer the software, except where expressly permitted by law;
Circumvent security measures, access third-party accounts or content belonging to other organizations, or overload the systems;
Share or publish your organization’s content where your organization has not permitted this;
Use QuickGuide for unlawful purposes.
If you materially breach these Terms or endanger the security of QuickGuide, we may temporarily suspend your access. We will inform you and your organization accordingly.
5. No Patient Data
Do not enter any data that could identify patients into the AI Assistant or any other free-text field, including names, dates of birth, case or admission numbers, or addresses.
QuickGuide is not intended for the documentation or other processing of patient data. Please comply with your professional duty of confidentiality under Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (Strafgesetzbuch, StGB).
If you have entered such data by mistake, delete the entry, notify your organization, and contact us at info@quickguide.health. We will then remove the data from our systems.
6. Your Organization’s Content
The content available in QuickGuide—including SOPs, guidelines, checklists, and databases such as the dosage database—is created, maintained, and approved by your organization. Your organization is responsible for its accuracy, completeness, and currency.
QuickGuide provides the technical platform. We do not conduct a medical review of your organization’s content.
QuickGuide is not a medical device. It displays the approved standards of your institution and does not replace clinical judgment in an individual case; clinical responsibility remains with the treating healthcare professionals. Further details are available in the regulatory notices in the app under Settings → Legal.
Rights in the content belong to your organization or the respective rights holders. You may use the content only within the scope of your access rights.
Content that you create for your organization, for example in QuickGuide Studio, becomes part of your organization’s content and remains available even if you delete your account. Rights in such content are governed by your relationship with your organization.
7. AI Assistant
The AI Assistant answers questions exclusively on the basis of your organization’s approved content and provides the sources for every answer. It uses only AI models operated within the European Union.
Responses are generated automatically and may be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading, even where the cited sources are correct. Review the source before applying any information clinically.
The AI Assistant is not intended to make or support decisions concerning individual patients. It does not calculate dosages; instead, it displays entries from your organization’s dosage database.
You may use the AI Assistant only after providing your consent. The relevant information is displayed in the app before consent is given and can be accessed at any time under Settings → AI Assistant. Our Privacy Policy describes the associated data processing.
8. Availability and Further Development
We strive to ensure high availability of QuickGuide. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, for example due to maintenance work or technical disruptions.
We continue to develop QuickGuide and may change features where there is a valid reason to do so—for example, technical development, security requirements, or changes in the law—and where this does not result in costs for you. If a change materially impairs your use of QuickGuide, we will inform you in good time in advance.
Please install app updates promptly. We may no longer support older versions.
9. Ending Use and Deleting Your Account
You may stop using QuickGuide at any time and delete your account in the app under Settings → Profile → Delete account.
A 14-day period applies after you submit a deletion request. We will confirm the deletion date by email. If you sign in again during this period, you may cancel the deletion request. Our Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what is retained.
Deleting your account also ends your access to our Turfle community app, which uses the same sign-in credentials.
If your organization withdraws your access or its agreement with us ends, you will no longer be able to view that organization’s content. Your account will remain in place until you delete it.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and to the extent of any guarantee assumed by us.
In the event of a slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation—an obligation whose performance is necessary to enable proper use and on whose compliance you may regularly rely—our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typically occurring in such cases.
Otherwise, our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
Section 6 applies to content provided by your organization.
11. Rights in QuickGuide
For the duration of your access, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use QuickGuide as intended. All rights in QuickGuide, including rights in the software, design, and trademarks, remain with us.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms, for example if QuickGuide or the legal framework changes.
We will inform you in advance of material changes through the app or by email. Changes that restrict your rights or impose new obligations on you will take effect only if you agree to them.
13. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
